Sweep is hiring a Legal Intern for 6 months, tasked with proactively addressing legal issues, and turning Sweep into an authoritative voice on how companies can achieve sustainability goals. 

 

Sweep maps climate and ESG data across an entire business to reduce carbon emissions, improve social and environmental performance, and create audit-ready reports to run the best sustainability programs. Sweep empowers companies to build resilience to global challenges with technology.

 

Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?


As a Legal Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Legal Director on issues that are critical to the advancement of the mission of our company and customers.

You will be tackling into real world challenges that need an acute mind and a whole lot of creativity, within a dynamic working environment.

You’re a self-motivator who seeks to be challenged and who pursues excellence in everything you do. That said, you’ve got a firm sense of balance – beyond having a serious passion for law, you also have interests outside of the library and are keen to share them with your colleagues.


 

To be more specific, this includes:

  

  • Perform legal research and ensure legal monitoring.

  • Participate in the drafting and negotiation of contracts.

  • Contribute to set-up of reliable and up-to-date legal process documentation.

  • Help draft internal policies.

  • Ensure the follow-up of pre-litigation / litigation.

  • Advise all departments on various subjects (digital law, regulatory compliance, employment law, contract law, IP law, competition law, etc.).

Qualifications 🏆

  • Currently poursuing a Master II in law, ideally in digital law, IP law, Environmental law, Privacy law

  • You have a strong interest in climate change issues and want “to be the change that you want to see in the World”

  • You already have prior internship experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced work environment and able to move projects forward

 

Qualities 🧠

  • You are structured, motivated, result-oriented and have strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment

  • You are humble, curious, creative, proactive with a great sense of humor

  • You are fluent in English and in French, other languages would be a plus
