About this role
Instruct obedience classes providing new pet parents with exceptional dog training instruction and customer service by acting as a subject matter expert for Dog Training Program.
Clerical Duties: Entering client and patient demographics into management software EZYVET, accurately entering patient notes. Posting & recording payments, receiving payments and deposits.
Animal Restraint: Animal handling and restraint, as necessary practicing a fear free approach.
Animal Training: conduct private and group training sessions to clients to train their dogs and puppies in basic obedience, advanced obedience, and behavior challenge resolution.
Training Program Management: take ownership of managing the training program for dogs and puppies at the hospital. Keeping all management and customer service team members up to date on current class offerings.
Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to work well with people (clients, managers, and co-workers) Communicating with clients regarding needs or behavioral issues or concerns. Greeting clients, checking in and outpatients. Promptly responds to customer service inquiries. Provides excellent customer service by paying attention to the specific needs of the dog owners.
Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision.
