The Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) pillar within the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is pursuing multiple, exceptional teaching-track faculty hires at all levels (lecturer, senior lecturer, and principal lecturer).

The Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) pillar within SUTD offers exceptional undergraduate and doctoral degrees with focus on Business Analytics and Operations Research, Financial Services, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Aviation Systems. ESD undergraduates are prepared for a wide range of engineering and management careers in private and public sectors, including healthcare, banking, manufacturing, supply-chain, energy, transportation, and entertainment and hospitality. They are equally adept at entrepreneurship and boldly initiating start-up ventures.
Job Requirements for Teaching-Track Faculty
We seek to fill positions in several areas including but not restricted to statistical and machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), operations research, data science, and industrial engineering, with applications to aviation, healthcare, sustainability, supply chains and logistics, urban mobility, and quantitative finance.
The successful candidates will have earned or be nearing completion of a doctorate in an engineering systems-related field and have solid grounding in one or more systems methodologies including, but not limited to, AI/ML, optimization, stochastic modelling, statistics, game theory, financial engineering, and simulation. Empirical, experimental, computational, and analytical research approaches are all welcome. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching-Track faculty can develop and maintain an active research program per their interest.
