The Role

Are you looking to start or grow your career in the world of software licensing and IT data? We are looking for a Software Compliance Technical Auditor.  In this role, you will learn how to bridge the gap between technical IT systems and legal software contracts.

This is an entry-point role with a clear and exciting career path at SUSE. You will start by learning the basics of how software is deployed and eventually grow into a specialist or lead auditor.

How You’ll Contribute

As an entry level Auditor, you will work within established guidelines to help our team understand how customers are using SUSE software. You will receive guidance from senior team members as you grow your skills.

• Learn Technical Discovery: You will help guide customers through the process of running scripts to collect data on their IT systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).

• Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing "Core" and "Processor" usage in virtual environments like VMware or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Support Reconciliation: Help compare the data we find in a customer’s network against what they are legally allowed to use.

• Draft Reports: Create initial reports that show findings clearly for both our internal teams and the customer.

• Solve Problems: Use your logical thinking to figure out why certain data might be missing or how a system is set up.

• Collaborate: Work closely with your teammates to share what you’ve learned and help improve our audit tools

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

• Technical Interest: A basic understanding of Linux (like SLES or Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.

• Data Skills: You are proficient with Excel and interested in learning how to use SQL or Python to handle data.

• Learnability: You love learning new things and can quickly pick up new software tools.

• Problem-Solving: You enjoy "detective work" and staying focused until you find the answer.

• Resilience: You can stay positive and professional, even when working on busy projects with deadlines.

• Communication: You can explain your work clearly to your team and enjoy working with others.

• Experience: Ideally 1–2 years in IT, data analysis, or a similar field. We value a great attitude and a willingness to grow!
