Job Summary
The Slap Inspection Technician is responsible for inspecting parts or products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role focuses on visual and hands-on inspection, identifying defects, and maintaining accurate inspection records in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform slap/visual inspections on parts or finished products
- Identify defects such as cracks, dents, scratches, or surface flaws
- Remove non-conforming parts from production flow
- Document inspection results accurately
- Follow work instructions, quality standards, and inspection procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors or team leads
- Follow all safety policies and company procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs (as required by site)
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
