Position Summary- 3rd shift!
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to lead shipping, receiving, and material movement operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate shipment processing, safe material handling, and effective coordination with internal teams and external partners. The Shipping Supervisor plays a key role in meeting production schedules, maintaining safety standards, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a safety-first culture while supervising shipping and receiving personnel
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
- Coordinate transportation and material flow with customers, suppliers, and logistics providers
- Manage inter-departmental movement of materials to support production needs
- Analyze performance data and identify operational impacts and improvement opportunities
- Train, coach, and develop team members; gather feedback and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and management teams to resolve issues
- Build strong working relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
- Apply logical, systematic, and creative problem-solving approaches
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and personal professional development
- Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Work overtime as needed to support operational demands
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent related experience
- Automotive manufacturing shipping and logistics experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable results
- Excellent problem-solving, follow-up, and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven drive to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals
- Ability to work 3rd shift
