Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensures safety and quality standards are met, and leads a team of production employees throughout the shift. This role is responsible for maintaining workflow, solving operational problems, supporting team performance, and ensuring production goals are consistently achieved. This is a 2nd shift opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and support production team members throughout assigned shift.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manpower, and job assignments to meet daily production targets.
- Train, coach, and develop employees to improve skill levels, performance, and safety awareness.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and company updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.
- Complete shift reports, production logs, and any required documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper handoff communication between incoming and outgoing shifts.
- Promote a positive work atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production supervision required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk the production floor as needed.
