This role is responsible for OSP material forecasting, allocation, inventory strategy, and reclamation oversight, ensuring materials are available to support build schedules while minimizing excess inventory and stranded capital.
The role partners closely with Warehouse Operations, Construction, Engineering, and Finance to provide a single source of truth for OSP material demand and inventory health. Depending on experience and business needs, this position may be performed on-site or remotely, with responsibilities tailored accordingly.

Responsibilities:
OSP Forecasting & Demand Planning
· Own forecasting for all OSP materials, including fiber, cabinets, handholes, conduit, terminals, and associated hardware.
· Align material forecasts with engineering designs, construction schedules, and passing targets.
· Establish and maintain OSP safety stock levels based on build velocity and risk.

OSP Inventory Strategy & Control
· Serve as the primary owner of OSP inventory planning and allocation across warehouses, project yards, and contractors.
· Define inventory targets by project, market, and phase.
· Maintain system accuracy and alignment between ERP data (NetSuite / MBS) and physical inventory reporting.

Material Allocation & Release Governance
· Control OSP material releases by project to prevent over-ordering and misallocation.
· Partner with the Inventory Manager to execute shipments based on approved forecasts and allocations.
· Identify inventory constraints or risks early and escalate as needed.

Reclamation Oversight & Cost Recovery
· Own the process and metrics for reclaiming unused or excess OSP materials from completed or paused projects.
· Identify redeployment opportunities to active builds.
· Track reclaimed material value and report savings and recovery performance.

Process, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
· Develop and maintain SOPs for OSP forecasting, inventory allocation, yard material control, and project close-out.
· Establish KPIs related to inventory accuracy, excess material, and working capital.
· Provide executive-level reporting on OSP inventory health, risks, and cost-per-passing impact.

· Act as the primary Supply Chain partner for OSP-related material planning with:
o Construction & Infrastructure
o Engineering
o Warehouse Operations
o Finance
· Support build kickoffs and project close-outs from a material planning and control perspective.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in telecom, utilities, or construction supply chain or inventory management
Strong understanding of OSP materials and build workflows
Experience with forecasting, ERP systems, and inventory controls (NetSuite preferred)
Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced environment
