About the role

We are currently looking for a Project Director who will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring that all objectives related to scope, time, cost, quality, safety, and compliance are achieved in accordance with the contract and the Client’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the entire PMC team, including Civil & Structure, MEFP, Planning, QS, Architecture, and Document Control functions.

  • Establish the overall project execution strategy, governance framework, reporting structure, and communication protocols.

  • Lead the project kickoff process, review all available project information, and confirm baseline scope, schedule, budget, risks, and priorities. Represent the PMC in all high-level interactions with the Client, authorities, consultants, and contractors.

  • Ensure that project objectives for time, cost, quality, safety, and statutory compliance are clearly defined, communicated, and achieved.

  • Monitor overall project progress and performance, ensuring timely identification and resolution of risks, delays, and constraints. Lead decision-making on critical project issues, changes, and priorities to maintain project momentum.

  • Oversee procurement strategy, tendering processes, evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations for all remaining packages.

  • Ensure effective contract administration, including change management, variation control, claims management, and dispute avoidance.

  • Review and approve key technical submissions, construction methodologies, recovery plans, and major design or execution changes.

  • Ensure that Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) systems are effectively implemented across the project.

  • Oversee preparation and submission of all handover documentation, as-built records, O&M manuals, and completion certificates. Prepare and approve the final Project Closeout Report, including lessons learned and performance evaluation.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or from a relevant discipline. Master’s degree in Project Management or Construction Management related discipline is an advantage.
  • Professional registration with a recognized engineering body is preferred.
  • Minimum 20+ years of experience in construction/project management, with at least 8–10 years in a senior leadership or Project Director role.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale building or institutional projects under PMC, EPCM, or consultancy environments. Demonstrated experience in managing complex stakeholder environments, multiple contracts, and high-value projects.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, construction sequencing, procurement strategies, and contract administration. Sound knowledge of cost control, schedule management, risk management, and claims mitigation.
  • Familiarity with international contract forms (FIDIC or equivalent).
