Part of SJ Group, Prostruct is a specialist consultancy for Protective Technology and Civil & Structural Engineering. Established in 2012, we have grown to be one of Singapore’s leading blast consulting firms. We offer integrated and customised solutions for protecting buildings and infrastructure against blast and other effects, therefore designing for the safe storage across multiple industries.
Based in our SJ Campus at 38 Cleantech Loop, we are looking for a proactive and innovative Blast Engineer to join our team in designing and planning for the protection of building and infrastructure from explosion and dynamic effects.
You’ll work on exciting projects from concept to completion, collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to create safe, efficient, and future-ready environments.

What You’ll Do
- Design, analysis and plan for structural engineering works
- Design, analysis and plan for the protection of building and infrastructure from explosion and dynamic effects (e.g. blast loading)
- Design, analysis and plan for security system engineering works
- Liaise with other consultants, contractors & authorities from inception to completion of projects
- Responsible for timely submission of plans and reports to authorities and clients
- Manage projects to meet the time, cost and quality objectives
- Prepare tender specifications and drawings for tendering of construction contracts, including evaluating of tender submissions and make appropriate recommendations to clients
- Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings during course of construction of projects.
What We’re Looking For
- At least a good degree in Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board
- Proficiency in Engineering software such as AutoCad, Tekla, ETABs etc
- Candidates with knowledge of design and analysis of structures under dynamic loading, e.g. blast, blast tests, shock and vibration would be advantageous
- Candidates with understanding of latest electronic security technologies would be advantageous
- Strong interest in counter-terrorism and homeland security
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Self-motivated, innovative thinker and willing to take on new challenges
- Candidates with more than 4 years of relevant experience would be considered for Senior Blast Engineer position
