The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role is also responsible for participating in activities related to Recruitment, Onboarding, Benefits Administration, and more.
 

This a temporary (contract) position until September 2027. The HR Administrator has a Hybrid Working Arrangement, requiring minimum 2 days in the Kincardine office weekly. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Act as the first point of contact on HR related inquiries and requests from employees
  • Administration and processing of employee changes, including wage changes, position changes, leaves of absence and terminations
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment process 
  • Facilitate employee onboarding process utilizing Ceridian Dayforce HCM
  • Responsible for administering job site/customer specific access, security and screening requirements (background screening, drug and alcohol screening)
  • Ensure compliance with Superheat driving policy and appropriate notifications to managers and maintenance of Approved Driving list
  • Responsible for the administration of company benefit and pension plans 
  • Other HR duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required 
  • Strong customer service and demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability work independently and as part of team on a variety of projects
  • Strong in-person and phone communication skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with company and Human Resources related information 
  • Well-developed and proven organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to represent the company with confidence and professionalism
Work Experience and Educational Requirements
  • Previous work experience in a related field considered an asset
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce considered an asset 
  • CHRP Designation is considered an asset 
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or other related field
