Job Summary:

The Principal Solution Architect will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly-focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market. The Principal Solution Architect will be required to work with customers from ground to executive-level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible. Customer and solution focus, are two key factors for this position, as well as business continuity and support. The Principal Solution Architect must work with multiple departments to ensure new projects and existing projects are initiated or maintained towards customer requirements. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Possess a big picture mind set in collaboration with the ability to always think beyond a single project or business domain
• Create product roadmaps and develop strategy for successful product deployment based on deep understanding of customer requirements
• Manage technical resources within the organization to address client needs when necessary
• Define and provide creative solutions and overcoming constraints to meet customer requirements of the demanding market
• To understand and resolve challenges by collaborating with internal business partner and technical members
• Oversee deliverables and documentation as require supporting Supermicro service organization
• Create positioning statements, marketing, and sales training materials, product specifications
• Present training material to internal sales force as well as externally at customer sites. Willingness to travel periodically to visit customers and attend trade shows
• Conduct competitive analysis and develop ecosystem with partners in the industry
• Drive technical issues to closure by arranging resources and engaging with other engineering team to duplicate and debug
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Global Service team
• Emphasis on service while providing technical guidance and driving deliverable of high-quality solutions
• Design, build, preconfigured and integrated solutions that are certify to be package into Supermicro Infrastructure Packages Solution with emphasis on service
• Travel to meet customers for business need

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering or business discipline is highly desirable

• 17+ years experience with edge computing system, IoT Embedded systems, storage server, data center, or IT infrastructure with 5 years experience in management role is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and business sense is required, must have prior experience in interfacing with customers
• Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
• Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plus
• Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines
• Individual must be able to work effectively in a high pressure environment

Salary Range

​$170,000 - $230,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
