Purpose:
To provide transportation support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings
- Must possess a valid Driver's License which meets company standards for approved driver status
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred
Essential Functions:
- Assists individuals in traveling to and from training sites, medical appointments and throughout the community following all speed limits and traffic laws
- Ensures that vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, in good working order and safe for operation
- Ensure the safety of the individuals and staff by requiring proper use of seat belts and tie downs
- Completes and ensures the accuracy of Trip logs and Vehicle Inspection sheets according to regulations
- Performs all other duties as assigned
