About this role

Job Summary

This is a key member of the Health Safety and Environmental team. Preforms incident intake and investigate claims against company for workers' compensation, liability, property loss or damages and attempts to effect out-of-court settlement with claimants.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administers the incident handling process for the company including customer support to the project and employees.
  2. Coordinates among company managers, field employees, insurance claims handlers, the public and physicians to investigate and process claims for workers compensation and liability claims. 
  3. Participates in activities to support the company's strategic planning efforts.
  4. Responsible for the maintenance of OSHA records.

Minimum Job Requirements

  1. 2+ years in construction preferred.
  2. 4+ years handling workers compensation and liability claims.
  3. HS diploma or equivalent, associates preferred.
  4. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Physical Requirements

  1. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
  2. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  3. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
  4. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day
  5. Will lift, push or pull objects pounds on an occasional basis
  6. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
  7. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
