About this role

Overview

As a Barista at the Coal House Coffee Shop, you'll sell, make, and serve beverages and food to guests in a professional and upscale manner. With a warm Suncadia welcome, you'll help guests start their days or see them off with a quick grab-n-go meal. With quick work and a passion for guest service, you'll help create and enhance the Suncadia guest experience.

 

Salary: $17.13/hour

 

This is a Seasonal position with targeted start and end dates:

  • Season Start: February 1 – May 15
  • Season End: October 31

Hours will fluctuate as business levels rise and fall throughout the season. Peak season, with the most hours, is typically May – October.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with all guests, internal and external, effectively with tact and diplomacy in line with property's service standards
  • Work and operate espresso machinery
  • Knowledge of all recipes for all beverages and presentation of each
  • Handle money and make change for guests
  • Knowledge of food menu and serving abilities
  • Up-sell drink items
  • Knowledge of check handling procedures
  • Remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
  • Stock and organize inventory of product
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Availability work a flexible schedule, including morning and afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous cashiering or guest service experience preferred
  • Experience in food and/or beverage operations preferred
  • Current food handler permits OR obtain within 30-days of hire
  • Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast-paced environment
