Dispatcher (Scaffold Division)

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Dispatcher for our Scaffold Division.
As a Dispatcher, you will manage Drivers throughout the Tampa market to ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment from/to customers. This role is responsible for overseeing the application of appropriate DOT standards. Includes responsibility for reporting, scheduling, and supports customer service/sales goals of the business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Site-Specific Planning: "Coordinate deliveries to active, high-traffic construction sites, requiring precise timing and communication with site superintendents."
Load Optimization: "Oversee the staging and loading of scaffolding and industrial equipment to ensure weight distribution and safety compliance."
Complex Routing: "Manage local route density while accounting for 'last-mile' challenges common in construction, such as narrow access points and off-road unloading."
Qualifications:
Industry Experience: "Minimum 2 years of experience dispatching Class A/B drivers in the construction, rental equipment, or building materials industry."
Regulatory Knowledge: "Deep understanding of DOT regulations specifically pertaining to flatbeds, securing loads, and oversized/heavy equipment transport."
Soft Skills: "Ability to 'speak the language' of both commercial drivers and construction site foremen."
Working knowledge of the delivery area.
