About the role:

The Manager, Finance Reporting Solutions - Technology is a strategic and hands-on technical expert within Sun Life’s Enterprise Finance team. This role drives the design, development, and enhancement of finance technology platforms with a focus on the systems supporting the “last mile” ecosystem (Workiva, Longview, SAP). This role leads process improvement initiatives and partners with Finance and IT teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensure system integrity, and support Sun Life's high-performance culture.

What will you do?

• Act as the key design and development lead with the Workiva Data Management Suite, including reporting templates, data integrations, and automation
• Liaise between business and IT to deliver system enhancements, resolve issues, and lead change management to new processes
• Drive strategic process improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to deliver creative solutions to business problems
• Act as a subject matter expert for finance systems, providing training, technical guidance, and troubleshooting
• Support the development activities and maintenance of Longview Close application
• Ensure compliance with Sun Life’s security and computing standards
• Develop and maintain system documentation and training materials
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

What do you need to succeed?

• 5+ Years of experience with finance systems, process improvement, and technology integration
• 2 to 3+ years of experience in system design and configuration, with specialized expertise in ETL processes
• University degree or college diploma in Finance, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (experience with Pivot Tables/V-look ups.)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong programming skills (SQL, VBA, Python)
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage complex applications, and drive outcomes through influence
• Strategic, improvement-driven thinker who proactively connects technical solutions to business objectives

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience with Workiva's Data Management suite and Longview Close is highly valued

Unique Requirements:

• Occasional evening/weekend work and travel between Sun Life locations.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
