Bungay High School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and exceptionally organised Student Support and Administrative Assistant to assist our Food Technology Department and Art/Textiles Department.

This is a shared role, split between the Food Technology Department (approximately 75%) and Art/Textile Department (approximately 25%).

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring both departments are supported fully with all practical administrative tasks and will also be expected to make a positive contribution to the team ethos of both faculties.

You will ideally have experience working in a school environment and with students. Experience working in either Food Technology/Catering or Art would be beneficial but not essential. The role will also involve working with students to support their practical ability with Food Technology and Art/Textiles within the classroom supporting the main classroom teacher with practical’s, including the preparation and tidy/clean down equipment.

We are delighted and proud of what our students achieve in both Art and Food Technology; they are both popular and students at Key Stage 3 and 4 engage extremely well in both subjects.  Results have been good and often above the national average in recent years at GCSE.

Bungay High School Academy is a thriving and successful school situated in a pleasant rural area. We are 20 miles from Norwich and 15 miles from the delightful heritage coast. We have fantastic students, great staff and a commitment to success for all. We have an excellent CPD programme and are committed to staff development.
