Trinity CEVAP School are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Pastoral Support Practitioner to join our team and to support us in helping all our children to become their very best.  Trinity CEVAP is a successful single-form entry primary school on the outskirts of Stowmarket where behaviour is described as exceptional and where pupils love to learn, believing that nothing is impossible.

Our extensive grounds include a forest area and this role would also involve developing and running forest school sessions.

You will be engaging and enthusiastic with:

  • the ability to use your own initiative in supporting the physical, emotional and social development of primary aged children.
  • the ability to inspire and motivate children to ensure that they achieve their full potential.
  • experience in supporting children and families.
  • excellent communication and IT skills; English and Mathematics of grade A* - C/ 9- 4 or equivalent, and some knowledge of the curriculum requirements for primary schools.
  • an instinctive ability to deal with problems as they arise and the ability to work with initiative while also following established policies and procedures with the flexibility to adapt to different situations.
  • Emotional and physical resilience, the ability to stay calm in challenging situations, patience and understanding.
  • Experience of working as an HLTA to cover classes if required

HLTA hours will include confidently leading outdoor learning sessions (Level 3 Forest School training available to the successful candidate). You will also cover MDSA duties 4 hours per week.

As a Church of England Voluntary Aided school candidates should be sympathetic to our Christian ethos.
