  • 31.25 hours per week (18.75 hours HLTA and 12.5 hours TA) plus 30 mins CPD per week 

 

St Edmunds School are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA/Teaching Assistant (TA) for a unique role with lots of scope for carer development.  The role would suit an individual with HLTA experience or someone looking to take the next step in their career in education. The role would provide a wealth of experience and opportunities to lead, plan, assess and teach in a small, specialised group as well as deliver learning for whole class groups. This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting children and who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in children's lives. You will work in close partnership with the class teacher to create a caring, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes both personal and academic growth. We would welcome applicants with a range of experiences both personally and professionally. 

 

You will:

  • have strong relationship building skills and techniques
  • be passionate about helping children reach their potential despite challenges 
  • communicate clearly with children and adults, verbally and in writing
  • have experience of working with all ages of children in school
  • be able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines
  • be confident in supporting good behaviour and will be confident in deploying a range of behaviour management strategies 
  • have a desire to participate in school and trust CPD opportunities
  • have a full understanding of safeguarding
  • provide class teaching cover where required.
