Your responsibilities:
create and implement age-appropriate activities for young children
provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
monitor and assess children's progress and communicate with parents or guardians regarding their development
collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
maintain a clean and organised classroom.
What you will need:
minimum of Level 3 in childcare
previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child and provide appropriate support and guidance
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
ability to pass a background check.
About us
We are a village preschool, that offers childcare for children aged between 2 - 11 years. We have two playrooms; our Ladybird room is for children aged 2 - 3 years and our Bumblebee room is for children aged 3 - 4years. We also offer Breakfast club and Afterschool care for the children attending Elmswell Primary School. We have a very welcoming, friendly team, who have years of experience caring and supporting children in their development.
