Your responsibilities:

 

  • create and implement age-appropriate activities for young children

  • provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

  • foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities

  • monitor and assess children's progress and communicate with parents or guardians regarding their development

  • collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning environment

  • maintain a clean and organised classroom.

 

What you will need:

 

  • minimum of Level 3 in childcare

  • previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting

  • knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education

  • strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

  • ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child and provide appropriate support and guidance

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • ability to pass a background check.

 

About us

 

We are a village preschool, that offers childcare for children aged between 2 - 11 years. We have two playrooms; our Ladybird room is for children aged 2 - 3 years and our Bumblebee room is for children aged 3 - 4years. We also offer Breakfast club and Afterschool care for the children attending Elmswell Primary School. We have a very welcoming, friendly team, who have years of experience caring and supporting children in their development.
