Ipswich High School are looking to appoint an outstanding, passionate and inspirational whole school Director of Sport. You will join a department which enjoys an outstanding reputation and is staffed by a further seven qualified PE teachers, along with specialist swimming teachers and a range of coaches and peripatetic staff.
In addition to finding an outstanding teacher, we are seeking to appoint an individual who is excited by the opportunity to build on the department’s success and has a clear vision for how this will continue during the coming years.
Located on an idyllic 87-acre campus on the banks of the River Orwell, Ipswich High School enjoys an enviable reputation of delivering outstanding academic results whilst maintaining a warm, welcoming and happy community of over 500 pupils, aged 3 – 18.

Experience teaching and leading a department through GCSE and A Level courses would be advantageous.
You will have the opportunity to join our ambitious, friendly and caring community of staff and students, and enjoy teaching small classes (usually 10-15 pupils) of polite, respectful and hardworking pupils as well as benefiting from terms and conditions which include a generous protected time allowance and 18 weeks holiday per year.
