Senior Project Engineer

Reports To

Senior Manager, EHS

Position Requirements

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for executing project tasks and completing key project deliverables for Project Edge, particularly relating to EPA licence requirements. This individual will work with the EHS team, Project Edge team, facilities and others, and build strong relationships across the plant to help Stryker deliver the projects in an efficient and effective way.

Position Requirements

Will work within a cross divisional team, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with project leadership to create project plans, identification and allocation of activities between internal and external resources and assign work accordingly
  • Actively interfacing with cross functional team members and third party vendors, and always practicing good team work in support of achieving the business targets
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to identify IPC licence requirements
  • Experience in liaising with EPA and other external regulators
  • Work with Quality, Operations, Project Management and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work
  • Build stable relationships
  • Contribute to the project as a collaborative team member
  • Communicate effectively to cross functional stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate activities with external interfaces which may include contractors, suppliers and customers
  • Observe and follow the Quality Management Systems, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site at all times

Qualification Knowledge Skills

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering in related discipline
  • Proven project management skills through the delivery of business critical projects
  • Experience in highly regulated industries preferred
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to self manage; to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks
  • Knowledge of Environmental legislation, EPA guidelines, IPC licence requirements
  • Be a positive, energetic team player, and an advocate for product excellence, EHS compliance and quality
  • Proven to be self-directed, self-motivated and able to prioritise and resolve competing priorities
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills in order to effectively interact with a diverse, cross-functional internal and external agents
  • Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in a dynamic and results motivated environment
  • Excellent presentation and written / verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to be proficient in statistical techniques, data review and analysis
  • High level of PC skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other packages.
