Overview

As a Developer Support Engineer at Privy, you will be a key technical point of contact for our customers, helping developers troubleshoot integration issues, resolve technical questions, and get the most out of our platform. You will reduce friction in the developer experience, partner closely with engineering and product teams to advocate for customer needs, and contribute to resources that empower developers to succeed independently.

Customer obsession is a core part of Privy’s culture. You’ll work alongside fellow engineers, product managers, and forward-deployed engineers to ensure developers are unblocked and supported quickly and effectively.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a technical support owner for Privy developers, triaging, debugging, and resolving technical issues across APIs, SDKs, and product integrations.

  • Collaborate with engineering to escalate and prioritize bugs, product feedback, and edge cases surfaced from developer support interactions.

  • Create and maintain technical resources including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, friction logs, starter repos, and code samples.

  • Partner with product and documentation teams to continually improve onboarding and integration experiences based on real-world developer feedback.

  • Help define and optimize internal processes for technical support, ensuring scalability and high-quality service as Privy grows.

About you:

    • 3+ years of experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, developer success, or software engineering role.

    • Strong programming and debugging skills, ideally across JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to developers.

    • Strong troubleshooting ability — you enjoy digging into logs, code snippets, and edge cases to uncover root causes.

    • A proactive and customer-obsessed mindset: you love making developers successful and turning problems into opportunities for improvement.

    • Ability to build strong relationships with engineers, product managers, and external developer communities.

    • Bonus: familiarity with authentication, crypto wallets, Web3 infrastructure, or fintech APIs.
