A Brief Overview
The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist coordinates the daily operations at the Flint Hills Campus and Manhattan Campus in the Nuclear Medicine departments. Ensures optimal patient care and efficient use of personnel and resources.

- Radiography - ARRT Required
- Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Required
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technlongist - NMTCB Preferred
- Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT Preferred
- Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required
- Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days.
What you will do
- Collaborate with Regional Imaging Manager or Regional Director to resolve issues and maintain work schedules to obtain optimum care and treatment.
- Participates in staffing decisions including hiring, onboarding, counseling and disciplinary actions.
- Calibrates and operates nuclear medicine equipment.
- Conducts diagnostic imaging studies as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ.
- Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
- Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of Physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Provides services in a prompt manner at times convenient for the customers. Understands and practices patient confidentiality.
- Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner.
- Demonstrates proper use of equipment, time, and supplies in efforts to control costs.

- Performs venipuncture for injections.
- Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician.
