Title: Security Attendant

Reports to: Director of Security
Pay Range: $20-$22/hour
Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for patrolling hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of associates, guests, and hotel property. This role involves monitoring hotel assets, assisting with emergency procedures, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a secure environment.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Monitor and protect hotel assets through regular patrols and security checks.
Collaborate with department heads to enhance preventative and responsive security measures.
Assist in executing emergency procedures and ensure guest and associate safety.
Follow and document proper patrol procedures for property inspections.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure secure handling of hotel deliveries.
Monitor and report violations of cash handling procedures to the General Manager and management.
Investigate and document any loss of hotel assets, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Control access to public, storage, and associate areas, including locker rooms.
Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and inoperative safety equipment.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and events occurring during the shift.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Valid driver’s license.
CPR certification required.
Previous experience in security or related field is preferred.
Ability to follow established security policies and procedures.
Strong communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management.
Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail in monitoring hotel assets and documenting activities.
Security certification is preferred.
Work Environment:
Requires frequent walking, standing, and patrolling both inside and outside the hotel.
Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs regularly.
Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
