Job Title: Management Trainee       

FLSA Status: Exempt          

Department: Management Trainee

Hours of Operation: 8:00-5:00 Monday – Friday, Saturday Rotation, Approx. 24 months           

 

General Job Summary: 

Receives training and provides back-up and support while completing rotations within the applicable business lines of the Bank.

Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank.  Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes training and on-the-job rotations in all facets of the Bank including the Trust Department. 
  • Utilizes analytical skills to properly enter and analyze commercial financial statements, collateral analysis, guarantor and personal cash flow analysis.
  • All rotations will include compliance training as it relates to the particular line of business or product.
  • Train and assist bankers/lenders with preparation of l materials for business development initiatives including making customer calls with Lenders.
  • As required, attend committee meetings, CAC meetings, closings and other meetings as requested.
  • Completes special projects as requested within each business line rotation.
  • Attend the KBA Banking School after completing the first year of the program.
  • Complete a Management Trainee project by the end of the program involving a recommendation and presentation on a topic that is relevant to Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, i.e., new product, efficiencies, procedures/processes, etc.  Topic to be approved by Human Resources.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: College Graduate-Degree in business-related filed, i.e., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, etc.

  • Banking knowledge beneficial, computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word)
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
