Job Title: I.T. Systems Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Information Technology

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 45 hours per week                       

 

General Job Summary:

The I.T. Systems Manager has the day-to-day responsibility to ensure the Stock Yards Bank & Trust Applications and Servers are secure and functional. The Systems Manager is responsible for delivering best practices, solutions, and services related to the integrity and availability of business-critical network and security infrastructure across the organization.

Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess current and future technology needs
  • Be a mentor for the System Administration team members to encourage and assist with their professional development
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Coordinate training for the System Administration team on an annual basis
  • Ensure technology documentation is stored and maintained properly
  • Establish policies and procedures for all software and hardware technologies
  • Manages hardware and software installations and upgrades
  • Monitor system performance and capacity utilization, track capacity and performance trending
  • Participate in the IT budgeting process
  • Participates in planning and designing technologies to meet the growing needs of the business
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Prioritizes and assigns team members projects and service requests
  • Provide support for mission critical systems
  • Responsibility for ensuring all Hypervisors are secure and updated when appropriate
  • Participate in all strategic technology architecture evaluations, designs, planning, and implementation initiatives associated with the System Administration team
  • Remain up to date on the latest technology trends and strategies via training, conferences, vendor meetings, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Working Conditions: Works in office and server room, occasional travel to branches

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: BS in computer science or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted

Experience: Minimum of 8 years experience in PC based and LAN environments

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose and correct hardware and software configuration problems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Specialized: Virtualization Hypervisors, Storage Area Network, Backup and Recovery Technologies, Switching and Routing, Firewall and Edge Security

Licenses: MCSE, VCA, VCP preferred

Supervisory Responsibility: Will manage the SYB System Administration Staff
