Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Performs revenue accounting functions related to the posting of payment received including contacting delinquent customers via phone to secure payment, assisting with printing and mailing of statements, reviewing account histories with customers, posting payments, managing adjustments to ensure efficiency, time and accuracy for control and accountability
- Responsible for performing monthly account reconciliations and journal entries, which includes general ledger accounts related to the revenue accounting (accounts receivable) process
- Recommends improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve efficiency
- Understands how teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve organizational objectives
- Provides subject matter guidance to team; may allocate work
- Impacts results of own team and effectiveness of related teams
- Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent
- Exercises judgement based on previous experiences, practices and precedents
- Evaluates and communicates complex information in a clear, concise manner
- Exchanges ideas and information effectively
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
- Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others but is not a direct supervisor
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Education
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
Experience
- Typically requires 8+ years of related work experience
