About this role

General Summary: This position is responsible for creating the uppers of all shoes and assembling the shoes.Major Responsibilities: • Skiving leather for folding.• Folding, shaping, stitching, and assembling the upper.• Timing and ornamentation of the sample.• Special projects as needed.• Cover heels and platforms.• Other duties as required. Specific Job Skills: • Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face-to-face and in group settings • Decisions are guided by precedent and interpretation of applicable laws, etc. and have impact on others and the organization • Work responsibilities frequently concern confidential and/or sensitive information requiring the use of discretion at all times• Strong follow-up and completion skills • Under limited supervision, anticipates and solves problems for self and other lower level employees • Has limited supervisory responsibilities for small groups of usually skilled employees• Job duties are somewhat varied, occasionally requiring conceptualizing, planning and implementingEducation, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.• 5-7 years experience in sample making.Language Skills: • Spanish
