General Summary
The Production Assistant is responsible for helping coordinate daily production, ensure communication with cross-functional teams, and maintain accurate records to keep production running smoothly. This position supports the Belts, Socks and Hosiery business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Production Manager with daily emails and production inquiries
- Work with Design on worksheet/tech pack updates
- Work closely with the Sales team to ensure WIP’s are issued according to buy sheets
- Follow up with factories and overseas China team for production approvals and TOP samples
- Track vessels and communicate vessel delays with Customer Service team
- Review inspection reports
- Coordinate work orders with warehouse (ie. Ticketing, work orders, pick n’ pack, etc.)
- Create cost sheets for costing and review with cross-functional teams
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
Essential duties include
- Coordinate daily production duties to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Monitor production progress and report any delays or issues to respective teams
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports
- Assist in analyzing production data to support process improvement initiatives
- Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional to maintain smooth workflow and resolve production issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; manufacturing experience a plus
- 1+ years of experience in Production
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong attention to detail, time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of production processes and ERP systems is a plus
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00 -$26.00. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
