Job Description

Responsibilities:

Follow all safety requirements.

Certify Hazardous Materials Shipping Documents to comply with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), International, and the Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and regulations.

Staging material for loading ensuring proper bracing and blocking if required.

Loading and unloading tanker trucks and railcars.

Area cleanup.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Attributes

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Electric powered fork truck and yard tractor used for spotting trailers for loading.

SAP (inventory management system), Computers, Microsoft software products, and any equipment unique to the department.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Will be required to work shift work including weekends, and holidays.

Working at heights (top of railcars, tanker trucks and tanks, etc.)

 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Will be required to climb upon railcars, tanker trucks, and climb stairs.

Duties may involve working outdoors with a potential to exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

Work will require lifting up to 55lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing and/or sitting.

Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.

Prepare tanker & box trucks for shipments from plant.

Ensure proper handling of production raw materials, including staging and loading

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

One year of related experience

Demonstrate mechanical aptitude

Bulk truck and railcar loading and unloading experience is preferred

DOT General Awareness training is preferred
