Summary Objective

The IT Manager is responsible for managing and supporting all information technology systems and infrastructure at Stellar Energy’s new manufacturing facility. This role ensures reliable and secure operation of office and site-based IT systems, including networks, servers, user devices, communications platforms, and business applications.

 

Working closely with corporate IT leadership, the IT Manager provides hands-on technical support, oversees local vendors and service providers, and ensures alignment with companywide IT policies and standards. This role plays a key part in establishing the technology foundation for the facility’s administrative and operational success, distinct from, but closely coordinated with, the Operational Technology (OT) team supporting plant-floor systems.

 

Essential Functions

 

IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain site-level IT systems, including servers, network switches, Wi-Fi, workstations, printers, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Ensure reliable connectivity and performance for all users across office and production support areas.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and other enterprise tools.
  • Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to protect data integrity and business continuity.
  • Manage local hardware and software inventory, ensuring compliance with company standards and license requirements.

 

User & Technical Support

  • Provide on-site IT support for staff, including troubleshooting issues with PCs, mobile devices, network access, and office systems.
  • Coordinate escalation with corporate IT or managed service providers (MSPs) for advanced support issues.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards and prompt response times for technical assistance requests.
  • Develop and deliver user training on IT systems, tools, and cybersecurity best practices.

 

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor IT security policies to ensure data protection, access control, and safe network operations.
  • Collaborate with corporate IT and the OT team to ensure segmentation and security between enterprise and plant-floor systems.
  • Support ISO 9001 and related audit activities by maintaining accurate documentation and system records.

 

Vendor & Service Provider Management

  • Manage relationships with local IT vendors, internet and telecom providers, and MSPs.
  • Oversee IT-related contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and procurement for site technology needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.

 

Planning, Reporting & Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the site IT budget, including hardware, software, and service expenditures.
  • Support corporate IT in developing system roadmaps and planning for facility growth.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on system performance, uptime, and technology initiatives.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.   

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work.

 

Travel
Anticipated up to 10% travel for this position. 

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a management or lead technical role.
  • Proven experience managing network infrastructure, end-user computing environments, and IT service operations.
  • Strong background in Windows-based systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint management tools.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred, with awareness of how IT integrates with plant operations.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices, backups, disaster recovery, and data governance.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.

 

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
