The Software Senior Buyer has the responsibility for leading the development and execution of long-term, comprehensive and cross-functional commodity strategies that will yield measurable improvements in the areas of technology, innovation, quality and cost performance. The Senior Buyer must be able to successfully manage and execute both strategic and tactical level decisions and initiatives. As a Software Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring technical commodities globally supporting IT department, 
 
Job responsibilities of the Software Senior Buyer include but not limited to: 

  • Drive cross-functional commodity strategies to ensure innovation, development and execution of current and in-development products 
  • Develop and implement creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, sourcing of complex/innovative product, purchase order issuance/maintenance and contract administration 
  • Sourcing suppliers, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Leading supplier development and cross-functional communications with suppliers using a "One Voice" approach and lead a cross-functional team including partners from lIT, Legal, Finance and other business departments 
  • Managing key supplier relationships while maximizing suppliers' ability to deliver quality product on time 
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or equivalent from an AACSB accredited program; Other technical degrees with business background also considered 
  • 7 years of relevant purchasing experience or other disciplines that require significant negotiation/exposure to sourcing processes
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically 
  • Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills 
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations 
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to effectively interface with cross functional teams and all levels of senior management 
  • Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders (software purchase licenses and services, subscriptions, cyber security, etc) 
  • Strong use of MS Office Suite/G Suite 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in IT space and knowledge of IT software/services 
  • 1 year of exposure to technical projects in the infotainment, connectivity or software space preferred
