The main job responsibilities will be:

  • To drive Design, develop, ECU mechanical architecture, concept, Bill of Materials in line with the defined hardware architecture and all external requirements applicable to hardware
  • To leverage his/her expertise/experience in the given field to provide technical guidance to the internal design teams for high-performance computer design definition
  • To drive the proper mechanical development from concept, TKO, convergence phase
  • To drive CAD model for SWX components and support internal and external stakeholders in managing CAD models and installation studies
  • To lead the design reviews for the mechanical design scope
  • To lead mechanical designs optimization for size, weight, durability, performance, and cost
  • To lead a robust design under worst-case calculations under the defined mission profiles
  • To target the most efficient design, focusing on a platform design
  • To understand Stellantis Domain team requirements, project milestones, and technology relevance
  • To lead the mechanical DFMEA, FM/DFA, and WCA to develop robust design solutions
  • Responsible for the thermal management concept
  • To support on-demand design teams from a mechanical perspective point of view
  • To review and approve the design validation plans and to drive the troubleshooting during design or qualification tests with the hardware testing team
  • Work closely with core design engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and deliver
  • To update the lesson learnt database and use it during the design reviews for firewall matters
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded design developments
  • Strong teamwork, and excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently
  • Familiar with more than 1 leading CAD design tool

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Experienced in industrial or automotive (preferred) area (TIER1...)
  • Solid understanding with embedded electronics design constraints
  • Familiar with system/component design
  • Knowledge of applicable and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification
  • Justified experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics
  • Experienced in EMI/EMC design constraints for mechanical design as a plus
