Contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices/objectives/goals that are established for the organization. To provide organizational support for the HR office with a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment and decisiveness.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages the orientation and on-boarding process for all new employees. This includes being the leader for the 2-day orientation session for all new hires.
• Assists the Director with the company worker’s compensation plan. Monitors incident reporting. Functions as liaison between company, employee, and plan.
• Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) data entry utilizing UKG.
• Codes/processes new hires into HRIS System accurately in the appropriate time period. Verifies shift differential plan, PTO plan, Pay and Access Profile, job title and other pertinent information.
• Processes/codes payroll changes to include calculating salary adjustments and retro pay.
• Answers questions from staff regarding PTO Accruals and Holiday Time Expiration.
• Performs system audits as needed on HRIS data.
• Assists with various HR projects as needed (employee functions, mailings, etc.)
• Audits payroll/personnel data. Accountable for accurate coding of correct FLSA status, shift differential plans, and salary adjustments are in accordance with payroll policies.
• Communicates with employee, manager/directors, senior management by answering questions, explaining the payroll changes, and troubleshooting issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Communicates any necessary changes/corrections in data submitted.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years’ HR experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft office, HRIS, ATS system
