The Production Operator is responsible for operating multiple pieces of equipment inside and outside the building as well as performing a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing of pressure treated lumber. Additional responsibility is the safe and controlled operation of forklift(s)
Responsibilities:
- Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs
- Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner
- Participate in all company mandated training in good faith
- Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Complete forklift training both electronically and physically and any refresher training required
- Follow and understand daily production schedules
- Ensure products manufactured are of the required quality
- Strap, tag, end tag, bag, inspect and downsize composite as required
- Label parts & products clearly and accurately
- Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly
- Work cooperatively with a team to achieve production targets
- Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas
- Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
- Report all Health & Safety issues immediately
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Stand for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)

This is a unionized position and the starting rate is $25.13 per hour. After a successful completion of the probationary period, the rate increases to $26.13 per hour.
This position will train on the day shift and transition to the afternoon shift once training is complete.

What you'll do
- The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating multiple pieces of equipment both indoors and outdoors related to the manufacturing of pressure-treated lumber, including the controlled operation of forklifts. Key duties involve adhering to safety policies, following production schedules, ensuring product quality, labeling, and maintaining clean work areas.
