Position Details:

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00am - 3:00pm
Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday; 3:00pm - 1:00am
Shift: Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday; 5:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Range: Up to $22.00/hour (based upon experience, skill set, and shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
Finishing Operations:

Assists with the handling, loading, and unloading of raw metal materials and finished goods.
Supports surface preparation activities including sanding, polishing, grinding, and buffing.
Helps with masking, de-masking, and bagging of parts on the paint line.
Hangs parts for painting under the guidance of the line lead.
Packages, labels, and prepares products for shipment in accordance with job specifications.
Prepares parts and equipment to support painting and coating processes.
Conducts visual inspections of finished products to identify and report any quality defects.
Tracks part quantities to ensure they match work orders and documentation.
Performs visual inspections during hanging or packing to detect obvious defects.
Operates basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Fabrication Operations:

Operates conveyor systems and removes sheet metal parts from skeleton sheets with precision.
Uses overhead cranes and hoists to safely lift and transport large or heavy sheet metal components.
Separates nested parts using magnets, hammers, and other hand tools.
Deburrs and smooths edges on metal parts using grinders and power tools as required.
Sorts, matches, counts, and stacks like-shaped parts on pallets for downstream processing.
Operates small spot weld machines to join sheet metal components under supervision.
Performs basic spot weld setup checks and inspects welds for appearance and quality.
Accurately logs production data and completes job paperwork using computer systems.
Operates various fabrication machinery to support workflow and production goals.
Assists with general material handling and organizational tasks to reduce downtime.

Stamping Operations:

Assists in operating stamping presses of varying sizes and tonnages under the supervision of a lead or mentor.
Supports part assembly by following blueprints, technical drawings, or work instructions.
Manages materials throughout the stamping process, including lifting, stacking, deburring, and packing.
Accurately records production data and labor hours in tracking systems.
Ensures stamped parts are correctly labeled and placed in designated containers for further processing or shipment.
Performs basic rework and supports auxiliary operations to maintain production quality.
Assists with inspections using templates, samples, or fixed gauges under guidance to verify part conformance.

Additional Responsibilities:

Participates in cross-training on equipment and tasks to support overall production demand.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Follows all safety protocols, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Provides support across departments as required based on business needs.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training
Experience and/or Training:

Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs; able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
Availability to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Commitment to adhering to all safety and quality policies and procedures.
Demonstrates reliable attendance and punctuality.

Education:  N/A
Experience and/or Training:

Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or metal fabrication environment.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery.
Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hoists, or cranes.
Experience using heavy-duty mount clamps, torque tools, rubber grommets, and hydraulic units is a plus.
Comfortable using ergonomic equipment, including hoists, for lifting and moving heavy parts.
Experience operating cranes to move large, heavy parts is preferred.
Basic computer skills for logging job information or interacting with production systems.
Knowledge of standard safety practices in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move between work areas.
Regularly required to talk and listen, as well as climb, balance, and reach above shoulder level.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Working Environment
