This is a full time Deli Manager position at our Rohrerstown Road Fresh Foods, requiring flexible day, evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities
• Communicates with Buying and GM teams regarding merchandising, new product implementation and appropriate pricing. Promptly follows through with directions.• Develops and mentors the Assistant Department Mgr to prepare them to take on the job responsibilities of Department Manager (where applicable).• Assigns duties to team members and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations based on the needs of the business and upcoming store events.• Communicates regularly with scan department to resolve incorrect information and ensure correct pricing.• Devise game plans and plan-o-grams for merchandising of the department in conjunction with the Buying team.• Fully understands the retail label systems, communicates with Scan, General Management, and/or Buying teams to ensure correct pricing.• Functions as a working manager, performing all department responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of your area of responsibility.• Has knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to effectively oversee the ordering of departmental supplies and merchandise from approved vendors.• Supervises and performs departmental inventories to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.• Trains team members in store policies, department procedures, product knowledge and job duties to ensure they are working in a productive and safe manner.
Qualifications
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures while working in or around the coolers.• The employee must be 18 years old.

What you'll do
- The Deli Department Manager communicates with various teams regarding merchandising and pricing, while also mentoring the Assistant Department Manager. They are responsible for assigning duties, scheduling, and ensuring the smooth operation of the deli department.
