About this role

The Test Analyst is responsible for conducting test activities on Transfer Agency systems utilized in the IFDS Transfer Agency business across Europe and the UK.  Key goal is executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of any change to a Transfer Agency application to agreed standards, ensuring that the quality of the output is of a consistently, high standard.

This role is responsible for the preparation, execution and evidence-based validation of UAT and E2E test scenarios under the direction of the Offshore Test Coordinator and Onshore Test Leads.

Key Responsibilities: 

Test Preparation

  • Review requirements, release notes, user guides, test scenarios

  • Prepare test plans, scripts, data, environment checks etc.

  • Identify data, access, environment dependencies and escalate early, as needed

  • Generate high quality test plans and test results for each project the team are engaged on.

  • Create comprehensive test documentation with well-defined, reusable test scripts that are traceable back to requirements.

Test Execution

  • Execute testing to agreed internal standards; ensure documentation is to an auditable standard.

  • Record results accurately, generating and saving evidence in line with defined standards

  • Participate in regression and re-test cycles

  • Support exploratory testing focused on business and operational impact

  • Ensure regression testing is performed in a manner that recognizes the risks of introducing defects into an established environment while at the same time meeting deadlines.

  • React dynamically to changing priorities.

Defect Management

  • Log defects clearly and accurately, including

    • Traceability

    • Steps to reproduce

    • Screenshots

    • Expected v Actual results etc.

  • Reproduce and validate defects raised by others when requested

  • Update defect status promptly throughout the lifecycle

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all test evidence meets agreed quality and audit standards

  • Flag unclear requirements, unexpected behavior or data inconsistencies

  • Escalate blockers thoughtfully and in good time

  • Communication and Collaboration

  • Participate in stand-ups, triage, etc.

  • Provide clear progress updates

  • Raise risks, issues, blockers early

  • Collaborate with other testers to share knowledge and resolve issues faster

  • Contribute to reporting to stakeholders and senior management including appropriate metrics.

  • Communicate accurate Test status to Test Coordinator, Lead, Manager, Project Manager, external vendors and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Higher education, Computer Science Degree (desirable).

  • At least 1 years of testing experience in a similar position (experience in testing of finance, banking or investment banking software would be a plus).

  • Experience in developing test plans for functional / system testing.

  • Experience in test execution, defect classification and prioritization.

  • Proven ability to deliver high standard deliverables and documentation.

  • Ability to operate effectively with incomplete requirements or late documentation

  • Background in TA Ops or Testing strongly preferred.

  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards

  • Proven ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Other Role Requirements:

  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including late shifts based on region served

  • Mobility: Open to short-term travel or relocation to other office locations as needed for business or training

  • Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, attention to details and good command in English.
