The State Street Alpha Portfolio Services team consists of Front Office Support, Front Office Data Control, Onboarding & Operational Readiness, Portfolio Health, Cash Services, Account Services, and Service Delivery Management functions. Our teams operate across the India, UK, US, Poland, and China, and work closely with global partners across the organization.

Alpha Portfolio Services is expanding to support clients on our Front-to-Back Investment Platform - Alpha. We offer a wide range of opportunities for motivated individuals across Front Office Support, Front Office Data Control, Portfolio Health, Cash Services, Account Services, and Service Delivery Management. You will join State Street Global Delivery (SSGD), which provides asset owners and managers with the critical financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. Our services span core custody, accounting, fund administration, shareholder recordkeeping, investment operations, and solutions for alternative asset classes including OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate. SSGD’s tools and expertise empower our clients to make informed investment decisions and achieve their growth ambitions.

What you will be responsible for

Successful applicants may support a combination of the following functional areas:

Front Office Data Control

• Act as the primary support contact for clients using Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS).
• Take ownership of issues through resolution, engaging internal teams as required to correct CRIMS and IBOR data.
• Ensure position and transaction data in the CRIMS aligns with State Street’s front-office platform and IBOR recordkeeping systems.

Middle Office Services - Cash Services

• Manage liquidity, third-party cash flows, and related queries.
• Deliver daily cash projections, overdraft monitoring, and stale balance reports to fund managers to support active cash-level oversight.

Portfolio Health (Portfolio Control & Enterprise Business Solutions)

• Act as subject matter experts in the IBOR recordkeeping system and support client operations teams with complex queries.
• Investigate and resolve client data issues using Middle Office systems, including SQL for research, analysis, and data tracking.

Account Services

• Coordinate the setup, maintenance, and closure of portfolios across all State Street Middle Office systems and services.

End Client Reporting

• Perform report analysis to ensure client requirements are met and escalate potential issues proactively.

Role Purpose (AVP / VP)

The AVP / VP role within Alpha Portfolio Services is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving end-to-end service delivery, strengthening front-to-back controls, and partnering with global stakeholders to deliver scalable, risk-resilient outcomes. The role combines deep domain expertise, people leadership, governance ownership, and change execution across Alpha front office, middle office, and service delivery functions.

Cross-Functional Expectations:

• Act as a trusted partner to Front Office, Investment Operations, Technology, Risk, and Client Coverage, ensuring seamless front-to-back alignment.
• Lead global engagement across India, US, EMEA, and APAC, balancing regional priorities while maintaining consistent service standards.
• Proactively identify cross-functional dependencies, upstream/downstream risks, and control gaps, and drive resolution without reliance on escalation.
• Represent Portfolio Services in client governance forums, internal risk committees, and senior management reviews with effectiveness and authority.
• Drive collaboration across Alpha functions including Front Office Data Control, Portfolio Health, Cash Services, Account Services, and Service Delivery Management.
• Influence outcomes through data-driven insights, clear articulation of risks, and well-structured recommendations.

Individual Contributor Responsibilities:

• Own delivery, risk posture, and client outcomes for assigned portfolios or functions, with clear accountability for service quality, control effectiveness, and stakeholder confidence.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in complex situations, resolving issues independently where appropriate and escalating with structured options, impact assessment, and recommended paths forward. 
• Proactively identify operational, data, and model risks across the front-to-back value chain; lead remediation plans, ensure consistent control application, and represent the function in governance and risk forums.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams through clear expectations, coaching, and performance management; build succession pipelines, address skill gaps, and drive a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Drive process re-engineering, automation, and standardization initiatives in partnership with Technology and Product teams, translating strategy into executable roadmaps that improve scalability and resilience.
• Act as a valued partner to Front Office, Technology, Risk, and Client Coverage teams, influencing outcomes through data-driven insights, clear communication, and outcome-oriented representation in senior forums.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of experience in Asset Management Operations, Middle Office, Front Office Support, or Alpha-aligned platforms.
• Strong domain expertise across one or more areas - Front Office Data Control (CRIMS / IBOR), Portfolio Control / Health, Cash & Liquidity Services and/or Account Services / Client Reporting
• Proven experience managing global teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capability; competence to leverage data, metrics, and trends to drive decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting tools.
• Experience leading regulatory interactions, audits, or control reviews is a strong advantage.
• Graduate or Master’s degree preferred; industry certifications are a plus.
