Opportunity awaits! The Youth Transitions Unit within the Office of Child Welfare Programs (OCWP) is seeking a highly motivated individual who has experience with invoice systems, payment processing, and Microsoft Excel. Summary of Duties
As an employee working within the Child Welfare Program, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon’s most vulnerable children and families. Your dedication will help us achieve the Child Welfare Vision for Transformation that will support children and young adults to be safer, healthier, experience less trauma and achieve a greater well-being.
This position will provide daily administrative support to the Youth Transitions Program, and its Program Manager and Program Coordinators as needed. Assignments will include extensive data entry tasks and a variety of administrative duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide daily administrative support to the Youth Transitions Program.
Verify youth eligibility for funding and services.
Validate Independent Living Program (ILP) service documentation.
Complete data entry for Independent Living Programs (ILP) and grantees.
Complete invoice validation.
Process payments.
Track documents and funding.
Communicate with ILP community contracted providers regarding billing and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one (1) year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.
Experience providing customer service and building positive relationships with customers, staff and/or contractors.
Experience issuing payments and/or processing invoices.
Experience and knowledge of adolescent development, the impact of foster care, and the barriers transition age youth face.

Working Conditions
The work schedule is 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday (Pacific Time). This work schedule is not negotiable. Over time hours must be approved in advance.
This position is eligible for hybrid work after the initial in-office training period is successfully completed. Ongoing, you will be required to report to the Salem office when training, business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Frequency varies.

Occasional statewide travel is required, including overnights.
Works in an integrated environment where diverse programs, partners and staff create the work team.
General working conditions include high stress environment due to a high-volume workload with short response time frame expectations.
Daily exposure to reports of potential abuse and confidential information from diverse groups who may have experienced trauma.
Serve a diverse range of internal and external customers with compassion and professionalism through a trauma informed lens.
Background Checks and Requirements
Requires a valid driver's license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel.

Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
