Job Description:
Internship Responsibilities:
Co-facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to youth residents under licensed supervision.
Assist with intake assessments, clinical documentation, and development of treatment plans.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case consultations.
Support crisis intervention efforts as needed and learn trauma-informed care practices.
Engage with residents to foster resilience, coping skills, and positive behavioral change.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution) OR recently graduated (within one year) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution).
Preferred Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a Master's program in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
Completion of core coursework in counseling theories and techniques.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish rapport with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
A commitment to trauma-informed, youth-centered approaches.
Must successfully complete background checks and required pre-service trainings.
