Job Description:

Job Duties: Fills purchase orders promptly as they are received, forwards back orders as soon as they are received. Monitors purchase orders for questionable items and obtaining clarification when necessary. Works with and through the Supply Manager to secure supplies from Central stores, Department of Transportation, and outside vendors. Maintains an inventory of stock items and notifies the Supply Manager when items need to be ordered. Maintains the supply room in an orderly fashion. Delivers and picks up supplies on one specified day each week, or at the direction of the Supply Manager. Compiles Summer and Winter uniform orders for the Buyers. Processes used uniforms and equipment to be converted to surplus property according to Surplus Property's regulations. Counts unserviceable uniform items and transports them to be dispose of. Prepares proper documentation for Surplus Property on used equipment and transports it. Deletes items from AS400 after they are disposed or surplused. Handles released evidence for destruction or conversion to surplus property ensuring the necessary documentation. Maintains current files for NSP forms, Policy and Procedure manuals and SOP Manuals. Updating them as needed. assist divisions in the revision of forms and manuals as requested. Maintains computerized negative and print file. Secures the most efficient and least costly method of producing forms. Maintains file of issued manuals by number and name. Disseminate revisions and manuals as directed. Maintains a neat and clean Supply Room. Keeps all walk areas free and clear of boxes and other items. Sweeps the entire Supply Room and empties the paper recycle and trash cans every Friday afternoon, before closing for the weekend or at the discretion of the Supply Manager. Maintains and keeps up all Summons and Print shop orders. Maintain Summons Requisition Receipts logbook, as well as the DAS print Requisition logbooks. Orders Summons when needed.


 

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in inventory, warehouse, material supply, or other closely related field.

Other: Valid driver's license and complete approved defensive driving class necessary for the use of state vehicles. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Regular and reliable attendance is expected. Applicants must successfully complete an extensive background screening prior to being employed which includes completion of a Personal History Questionnaire. Applicants will be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check before a final offer of employment is made. Applicants must be free of felony convictions, and cannot maintain continuous association or dealings with persons, groups, or organizations that they know, or should know, are persons or groups or organizations under criminal investigation or indictment or who have a reputation for present, ongoing involvement in felonious or criminal behavior. Selection process will include an interview.
