Job Description:

$39.566 to $51.797/hr (Breakdown- $36.566-$48.797/hour plus $3 differential for every hour worked) Additional shift differential of $1.50-$2.50/hour

Part time opportunity: 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Two 12-hour shifts each week, with 3rd weekend rotation)

Provide professional nursing care for ill, injured, or disabled persons, provide clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff , provide direct patient nursing care and treatments within the scope of licensure. Direct, coordinate, monitor, and/or provide patient care activities and the delivery of nursing care by licensed professional nursing and direct care staff . Train nursing or direct care staff in appropriate nursing care standards and techniques to maintain standards of quality patient care. Administer medications and/or treatments or supervise the administration of medications by licensed or certified staff members. Evaluate and report patient symptoms, progress, and reactions to medications. Ensure patient records are kept current, transcribes physician's orders and records medications. May serve as a Nurse Supervisor in their absence.


 

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in primary and gerontological nursing and experience in dementia care.


 

Knowledge of: nursing theory and practice; accepted standards of care; policies and procedures governing nursing care; sanitation and infection control standards, policies and procedures and techniques of providing quality nursing care. Ability to: communicate eff ectively with medical professionals, direct care staff members, and other facility staff members; participate on an interdisciplinary team; utilize sound and eff ective professional nursing judgment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis; to frequently bend at the waist and neck and frequently twist at the waist and walk or stand up to 50% of the shift.
