Job Description:

Conducts professional and varied extensive investigations relating to private and corporate real estate license complaints and inquiries concerning real estate real estate law compliance and violations; performs related work as required.


 

Conducts interviews with applicants and conducts personal background investigation through research into civic, municipal, criminal, police and employment records.

Investigates complaints and alleged violations of Real Estate License Laws through interviews with brokers, complainant and research FHA records.

Determines evidence which is acceptable in a court of law.

Drafts necessary documents.

Involved in educational activities of the Real Estate Commission to extent required by the Real Estate License Act of 1973.

Pay Range: $23.802 - $35.087 Pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.


 

Requirements/ Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school education or equivalent plus eight years experience in an agency related field; or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field plus four years experience in an agency related field; education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for experience.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:  Nebraska Real Estate Laws is desirable.

Ability to:  communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Skill in:  legal research and interpretation of state statutes.
