
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital.
The Medical Director is responsible for supervising the overall care and treatment program provided to patients at Montana State Hospital in the Medical Services Department. The position also maintains clinical responsibilities for treatment of patients on a Hospital Treatment Unit.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Extensive skills and knowledge in the practice of medicine, particularly psychiatric medicine.
Ability to navigate in the management of clinical treatment programs within an adult psychiatric and/or mental health setting. Acute psychiatric hospital settings are preferred.
Knowledge of Montana Statutes as they relate to the public mental health system
Skilled in public speaking
Meet minimum qualifications:
Formal residency training as a psychiatrist yielding demonstrated competence in medical treatment.
Must be able to be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Montana. Must be Board Certified in Psychiatry or eligible for certification.
5 years supervisory experience preferred.
