Salary: $22.08 - $30.89 per hour (Salary Schedule)

Salary includes a 2.5% stipend

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this Technician position is assisting in the development of Right of Way maps in the Property Office as directed by the Professional Land Surveyor.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Research of highway ROW, and private boundary plans, deeds, layouts, and other pertinent town or state documents;

  • CADD drafting of moderately complex existing condition plans (right of way and property), and

  • Determining the property rights needed to complete final right of way mapping under the guidance of senior employees and PLS.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Understand and calculate survey mathematics,

  • Draft plans in CADD,

  • Positively interact with project managers, senior property officers, legal staff, and

  • Meet project deadlines

Preference will be given to candidates with boundary, survey or comparable engineering background.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
