Position overview:

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS)’s, Division of Child Support Services is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our Administrative Coordination Clerical unit in the role of Office Coordinator. This position will gather data via face-to-face interviews and other sources in addition to reviewing, preparing, and establishing modification and enforcement court orders of child support accounts.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Administrative Coordination Clerical unit.

Essential Functions

  • Under direction, performs complex and specialized procedures to achieve the service of orders or to otherwise dispose of referrals
  • Reviews and analyzes accounts through the comparison of Healthcare and Family Services' (HFS) computer records and Clerk of the Court records to determine correct information
  • Gathers information and issues notices to clients and responsible relatives whose accounts meet established guidelines
  • Gathers information and issues referrals for accounts in need of adjustments to designated staff and referrals for cases in need of legal action to attorney for Child Support Specialists
  • Establishes and monitors tracing procedures to monitor status of notices, services, and other work in progress
  • Keyboards letters, forms, records, and other documents relative to operations
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to (2) two years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and (2) two years of related office experience, or (2) two years of independent business experience
  • Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 30 WPM.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
  • Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
