Essential Functions:

  • Serves as designated lead worker and shift coordinator for assigned shifts with rotating days off.
  • Consults with superior concerning new advancements, techniques, and methods of the service area.
  • Coordinates the activities of staff assigned to the dietary unit.
  • Monitors stock of supplies and equipment for area.
  • Coordinates and inspects work performance of outside contractors within the service area to ensure andverify presence of contactor and quality of performance required by contract specifications.
  • Prepares routine or special reports to submit to supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of High School.
  • Requires two (2) years of experience, such as could be gained at the Support Service Provider level in oneof the support service functional areas to dietary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience instructing others in dietary procedures.
  • One (1) year of professional  experience operating and providing maintenance of all machinery and equipment found in the support service area.
  • One (1) year of professional experience demonstrating working knowledge of accounting, business management, and human relations.
  • One (1) year of professional experience demonstrating working knowledge of computer use and word processing.

Conditions of Employment:

  1. Requires ability to pass a background check. 
  2. Requires ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
  3. Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
  4. Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
  5. Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
  6. Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
  7. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
  8. This position is considered medium work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(c)). Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  9. Overtime is a condition or employment, and you may be required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime.
